I Love My Label Maker

Yes, it is true I love my label maker. It makes me feel organized. I label Tupperware containers, cupboard contents and more. Each drawer in my pantry has a label to help the kids know where groceries belong and to helo my DH know where to find that can of soup or package of crackers.

I'm thinking of now labeling the rest of my kitchen cupboards so our housekeep knows where to put things. Last week she put my PLASTIC cutting board in the oven. Can you guess what happened? Yes, I pre-heated the oven and melted the board. It was a 2-day 4 to 5 hour mess of scrubbing and scraping.

I have the p-touch 65, not a super fancy labeler, but it does the trick.

Clutter Crew

I have joined Oprah and Peter Walsh's Clutter Crew. I am way ahead of the game though. I've spent a good portion of yesterday and today tackleing overdo re-organizing. Yesterday, I tackled the kitchen. I am free of many uneeded and unused coffee cups. I then went through my candle cupboard, yes, I have a candle cupboard. After that, I hit the spice/medicine cupboard.

My kids were also involved. Together we went through their bathroom and mine. We even changed the shelf paper.

Today I finished my closet. I've decided to let go of all those cute wool skirts I keep saying "I'll wear next winter". I then put all my clothes back together by color groups, put shoes back into boxes and got ride of jeans and capris I haven't worn in over a year. I also I went through the dresser drawers and parted with a ton of white too short, too wide t-shirts and tanks. Why is it everytime you wash a t-shirt it gets shorter and wider? I also worked a bit in my scrap room.

As I look around, it doesn't appear to be clutter free, but just open my drawers and cupboards and you will see how bare they are. Now only if my DH would at least notice and aknowledge the small changes I've made.
